Field Trips

Vidyadhaara Foundation would like to ensure that children get a holistic approach to education. And our field trips will hopefully help achieve that.
The very first trip was to IISc’s Open Day in 2017. Students of 10th grade were really thrilled to see how a real-life microscope worked. They were fascinated with how different experiments were conducted and the real-time results. It was overall, a great first trip out for them and our volunteers!
During the following year, we took children to Cubbon Park and Vidhana Soudha where they had a chance to be part of the Namma Bengaluru Habba celebrations. Their exposure to a Drums Circle with actor Vasundhara’s troupe was unique and a whole lot of fun! They also had an opportunity to travel by the Metro and to visit Chinnaswamy Cricket Stadium. The joy in each of their faces was immensely satisfying for our volunteers.
Students had another trip out to the HAL Aerospace Museum where they were exposed to the technology used for flying aircraft. Information about space flight and various types of helicopters used were also assimilated.
Students of 10 grade, pre-university, and University were taken on a field trip to Bangalore International Airport in Feb 2021. This was an educational trip for giving them an exposure on various job opportunities in the air travel industry. The students had a tour of various sections of the airport – like check in process, security process, immigration, baggage handling, fueling, catering, operations and all other related services.
In Sep 2022 around 20 Kids of VF were taken to “Curiouscity ” – a Science Discovery Centre in Bangalore where one can explore science in a hands-on, interactive mode, hoping to inspire tomorrow’s innovators by sparking their curiosity today.
